Thanksgiving

My mother, and dad for that matter, would secretly pinch or tweak me if I failed
to say "thank you" to someone who served me, gave me a gift or did a good deed
for me. If someone held the door for me, I sure as Christmas say "Thank You" or
else I would soon feel a quick hand across the back of my head.
Is it just me, or does it seem fewer and fewer people say "Thank You". Oh sure,
they'll nod or give you the customary wave, but seems to me "Thank you" is becoming
a gratitudinal Triceratops.
So on this day, Thanksgiving 2012, I give you the ten things that first come to mind as
to what I'm thankful for, in hopes, that it inspires you to perhaps scribe a note as to the
ten things that first pop up in your mind that you're thankful for today.

1) Thankful for God's mercy and grace. We can live freely, knowing we're loved.
That's not a ticket to, "do anything we want". It's a mindset of knowing God is with us always.
2) Thankful for my bride Claire, my four VIGS (very important guppies) and Jack the Pug.
3) Thankful that I wake up everyday.
4) Thankful that we live in the world's most giving and compassionate nation.
5) Thankful for the blessings of friends, for the most part health and having a roof and floor.
6) Thankful that I have the honor of spending time with you whether on the air or in cyberspace.
7) Thankful that there are people who love me for all my quirks, failures and successes.
8) Thankful that we can make a difference in someone's life simply by sharing our story/journey with them.
9) Thankful for teeth and tastebuds and a nose and eyes to experience Thanksgiving meals.
10) Thankful that YOU are part of my life and we get to share our lives with each other. THAT's
the miracle of technology: blogging, facebook, twitter etc etc etc. I appreciate YOU!

So that's my list. The first 10 that come to mind.
