So here we are. Four kids. Two are now teenagers and NOW joining Matt in High School next fall is Kylie.
WHAT?
Pinch me here. We're filling out High School Admission documents for her? Are you kidding me?
It was one thing to have my son Matt work his way into high school, it's totally another to have my first daughter going into High School. Dad's? Know what I mean?
I just watched her be born into the world.
I just held her for the first time just moments after she was born.
I just rocked her to sleep and sang her a lullaby, "Go to sleep--Go to sleep...."
I just taught her to play "peek-a-boo" in her high chair.
She just taught me to not be so stressed and laugh as she launched her cherrios into the air.
She just learned to ride her tricycle.
She just came running into my arms because she was afraid of the dark.
She just scolded me for not kissing her dollies as I tucked her in.
Time has a way of just ticking away.
Question is: Are we in the mix? As Mom's and Dad's are we truly in the moment with our kids?
I'm guilty of allowing the rituals of day to day life to get in the way and I vow to knock that off! LOL
Kylie is entering High School in the Fall.
YAY KYLIE!
God--help this guy to treasure and count his blessings everyday.
God--help us all to treasure and count our blessings everyday.
From James 4:
"Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money. Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and that vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
YOU are a blessing in my life, did you know that?
Thank you for being part of my life for going on more than 11 years.
Many of you remember when we had the on the air "countdown clock to Megan". Remember that?
She is now 9 and fast on the heels of Matt, Kylie and Tyler.
Jack the Pug is 56. And 8 pounds lighter these days.
YOU are a blessing. Let's be a blessing to our families and hug on them before time passes us by.
